Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Security Onion Specialists to support a cybersecurity and AI training project. The role involves using Security Onion to perform security monitoring, investigate alerts, analyze logs and network traffic, and document real-world security workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform assigned cybersecurity workflows using Security Onion.
• Monitor networks, investigate alerts, and analyze security logs and traffic.
• Apply threat detection and incident investigation techniques.
• Record and document workflows, tools, and investigation steps.
• Create realistic prompts and detailed evaluation rubrics.
• Review task outputs for accuracy and compliance with project guidelines.
• Provide clear technical feedback and work independently in a remote environment.

Qualifications

• Strong hands‑on experience with Security Onion for monitoring, threat detection, or incident investigation.
• Practical cybersecurity or Security Operations experience.
• Ability to analyze alerts, logs, network traffic, and security events.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
• Experience with data annotation, AI evaluation, RLHF, or similar human‑data projects is a plus.
• Current access to Security Onion and ability to work independently.
• Comfortable recording and sharing screen-based workflows.
