Stockroom Worker - Western Kentucky Univ.The Stockroom Worker receives, organizes, stores, tracks, and delivers inventory and product across multiple campus locations. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.Job Responsibilities:Unload food and supply shipments from delivery trucksStore perishable and non-perishable goods in refrigerators, freezers, and dry storageConduct routine physical inventory counts and log stock levelsInspect goods for damage, defects, or incorrect temperaturesTransport supplies and product safely to kitchens or other storage areasDispose of trash, break down cardboard boxes, and clear empty cratesPerforms other light maintenance and custodial tasksMaintains excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitationQualifications:Demonstrated expertise in a similar roleAbility to exercise considerable judgment based on previous experience to solve problemsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamMay act as an informal resource for those with less experienceRequired to gain an extensive knowledge of the proper use and cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment including but not limited to steamers, ovens, mixers, grills, and dishwashing equipmentDemonstrates thorough understanding of basic sanitation proceduresThis role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
