You will also assist with store operations before or after completion of the route. You will operate the van in a professional and safe manner, demonstrating attention to detail and safe work habits.Day‑to‑Day ResponsibilitiesDeliveryAccurately locate and pick orders in‑store for wholesale customersBuild and maintain good customer relationshipsEnsure timely and accurate deliveries of GFS productsPerform daily pre‑ and post‑trip inspection of vehicle and equipmentIn‑StoreEnsure accurate and efficient processing of customer purchases through the POSSecure assets including cash, checks, and merchandise by following policies and proceduresAccurately receive and merchandise products, ensuring proper rotation and product quality, end‑cap and planogram execution, top stock, freezer, cooler and back‑room organizationQualificationsAt least one year of delivery driving experience; one year in customer service or a related field preferredUnrestricted Standard Operator's license requiredClean driving record (no drug or alcohol offenses in the last five years)Minimum age 18 yearsSuccessfully pass pre‑employment checks, including a drug screen, criminal background check and MVRAbility to use a two‑wheel cart with a load weighing up to 350 poundsAbility to lift up to 70 lbsEqual Employment OpportunityEqual Employment Opportunity is a matter of policy at Gordon Food Service, Inc. and we are committed to a work environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity.
