Kitter

The kitter accurately tracks and manages inventory, supports shipping and receiving activities, and ensures parts are properly picked, packed, and prepared for distribution using both manual and computerized tools.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inventory counts on parts to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Keep accurate records of parts sent out and received using data entry systems.
  • Assist with daily shipping and receiving operations, including staging, loading, and unloading materials.
  • Perform regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Use RF scanners to locate, pick, and track parts and materials.
  • Pick and pack parts according to work orders, ensuring correct quantities and proper packaging.
  • Handle materials safely and efficiently using material handling equipment and forklifts as required.
  • Maintain organized storage areas to support efficient inventory control and retrieval.
  • Enter and update inventory and shipment information in computer systems in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Follow established procedures and work instructions to maintain consistent inventory and shipping processes.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience performing cycle counting in an inventory or warehouse environment.
  • Ability to conduct inventory counts and maintain accurate records of parts and materials.
  • Proficiency with RF scanners for inventory tracking and material picking.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management tasks.
  • Experience with material handling, including safe operation of forklifts.
  • Ability to pick, pack, and package products with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to established procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in shipping and receiving operations.
  • Familiarity with inventory control processes and best practices.
  • Comfort working with packaging materials and equipment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

This role is based in a warehouse and inventory environment where you will work around shelving, storage racks, and shipping areas. The position involves standing, walking, and handling materials throughout the shift, as well as working around packaging materials and equipment in a busy, operational setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Portland, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
