Role:

As the Keyholder at Miss Lucille's Marketplace, you play a pivotal role in fostering a positive guest and vendor experience while upholding the brand's values. With a passion for the diverse products we offer, you will ensure outstanding customer service, manage daily retail operations, and oversee clerk responsibilities. You will be responsible for opening/closing procedures, vendor communication, accurate transactions, and guiding team members through daily operations. This position requires physical resilience, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume retail environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service, greeting guests, and prioritizing their needs
  • Address customer and vendor concerns with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Open and close the store according to company standards, including cash handling and reporting
  • Supervise clerk team, delegate daily tasks, and ensure operational efficiency
  • Train new hires on company policies, procedures, and POS use
  • Maintain accurate POS transactions and daily financial closeouts
  • Manage vendor relationships, including sale entries, booth signage, and GoAntiquing system updates
  • Monitor clerk attendance and support adherence to scheduling policies
  • Oversee email communication and store voicemail updates in the absence of management
  • Execute daily checklist review, inventory updates, and supply ordering
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and enforce safety and procedural standards

Requirements:
  • Previous customer service and retail experience
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and team oversight
  • Experience with POS systems and cash handling
  • Typing skills (minimum 40 WPM)
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and navigate a large retail space

  • Resolve vendor and guest issues effectively while preserving positive relationships

Physical Requirements:
  • Lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for merchandise handling
  • Stand for extended periods during shifts
  • Perform repetitive motions (typing, scanning, handling merchandise)
  • Multitask between customer service, transaction accuracy, and team oversight
  • Use manual dexterity for POS and merchandise activities
  • Pay close attention to detail in all aspects of operations and leadership
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and demands in a dynamic retail environment
