Network Design Engineer

Key responsibilities:

• Provide network design services which meet and exceed the needs of customer
• Propose and validate BoM for Network Infrastructure solutions
• Preparing Scope of Work and Project Plans for the Solution
• Preparing High Level & Low Level designs as per proposed Solution
• Design and Implementation of Routing and Switching technologies
• Design and implementation of Data Centers on SDN technologies e.g. Cisco ACI, VMware NSX
• Campus LAN and Wireless design, Implementation and Troubleshooting
• Design and implementation of software defined campus network e.g. Cisco DNA, SD-Access
• Design, Implementation of WAN, and SDWAN Technologies
• Hands on experience on WAN optimization technologies
• Troubleshooting and repairing network issues, as well as developing, applying and enforcing best practices and policies
• Monitoring and performing routine tests on an assigned system and reporting results
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvements
• Contributing and producing regular status reports as required
• Working with 3rd party hardware and Telco suppliers to ensure delivery expectations are met and issues escalated accordingly
• Escalating overall none delivery issues in timely and structured manner as required
• Providing day to day hands on technical support across multiple services
• Working as part of a project in a demanding environment where team work is key to delivering and meeting client commitments
• Complete varied complex/non-standard tasks and may coordinate/oversee work of others
• Understand customer requirements, translating them into refined and detailed specification documents
• Provide resolution to project or customer issues, following proper escalation procedures, in a timely fashion
• Create project documentation and procedures

Required Skills:

• Should be CCNP/CCIE certified

• LAN/Switching: Cisco Catalyst 3500 / 3550 / 3700 / 3900 / 4000 / 6500 series switches, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.1q, ISL, Ether Channel, Multicast, SNMP, VSS, VTP, STP, RSTP, HSRP/VRRP, vDC, vPC, VRF, FCoE, DHCP, Traffic Shaping, Voice over IP, Video / Voice QoS (CBWFQ, LLQ)
• Wireless: 802.1x, WPA/WPA2 and WEP with TKIP / AES
• Load Balancing- Netscalers, F5 and Cisco
• NMS / Analysis: Cisco works 5.0 / 2000, What's up Gold, Sniffer Pro 4.5 / 4.6, Sniffer Reporter

Qualifications:

• Education: BE degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent

Professional skills:

• Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge and experience of ITIL based service processes: Incident Management, Change Management, Release Management, Problem Management, etc.
