Crew Member/Production Team Member

MATALCO - Franklin, KY. Using recycled aluminum and state of the art technology, we are Matalco - North America's largest independent aluminum billet and slab provider. We're looking for dependable and results driven crew members to join our expanding team. Make no doubt about it...our work is hard and are future is bright.

Job Responsibilities

• Work safely and smartly, following our procedures, work instructions, and training.
• Load, melt, and transfer scrap and raw materials to achieve correct product chemistry.
• Transfer and cast molten metal, monitoring processes to customer expectations.
• Monitor and adjust saws to cut product to customer expectations.
• Monitor your work, reporting material, process, and product issues so that corrective actions and/or adjustments can be made.
• Work with others on your team and across departments during the production cycle to ensure quality products are made.

• Prior manufacturing experience or foundry experience preferred.
• Prior experience operating mobile equipment, front end loader, forklift, and overhead crane preferred.

• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Reliable and stable work attendance. This is CRITICAL!
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good attitude and ability to work well with your fellow crew members.

• We are a 24/7 company, working 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule, which means you will work some holidays and every other weekend. It also means you are generally scheduled to work ½ the month and are off ½ the month. (No rotating between day and night shift). Shift hours are either 5:50am - 6pm or 5:50pm - 6am.

• $22.55/hour starting pay, plus $1.00/hour shift differential for nights.
