Student Safety & Supervision

• Help children safely board and exit the bus
• Ensure all students are seated properly, often in assigned seats
• Monitor behavior to prevent unsafe actions (standing, fighting, etc.)

• Provide extra assistance to very young children, including those with special needs
• Help students who may need guidance with following directions or routines
• Offer reassurance to children who may be anxious or upset

• Work closely with the bus driver to maintain a safe environment
• Report any behavioral issues, safety concerns, or incidents to school staff
• Communicate with teachers or parents when needed

• Keep track of which children are on the bus
• Ensure each child gets off at the correct stop and is released safely to an authorized adult

• Know emergency procedures (evacuations, accidents, medical issues)
• Help guide children during drills or real emergencies
• Use basic first aid (will be trained)
