Responsibilities and Scope
- 27 per month -11 C-Sections, 3 labor rooms and 14 postpartum, census is typically 1-3 deliveries/24 hr period
- 24/7 Hospitalist support staff
- On call Anesthesiology support
- 24/7 on call Radiology support
- Emergent; C-sections, GYN procedures, High risk deliveries
- Low risk pregnancy
- OB Ultrasounds - Performance of, interpretation
- Complicated delivery- C-section, Breech, Multiple births, Abruptions, VBAC's
- Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
- Surgical gynecology -Open, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only - tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation
- Operative/major (includes diagnostic) - ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's
- Laser certification
