Position: MMIS SQA Analyst
Location: Quincy, MA (Hybrid)
Duration: Multi Year Renewable Contract
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Overview:

Client is seeking to hire a MMIS SQA Analyst to join our collaborative Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) team. The MMIS SQA analyst should possess experience working on large-scale integration projects and a strong understanding of Medicaid and/or health insurance business processes. This role manages quality assurance for the MMIS system, supporting ongoing releases and analysis efforts. The key responsibilities include Functional testing, smoke testing and performance testing.

The MMIS SQA Analyst will actively participate in MMIS internal projects, contribute to Quality Assurance standards, and support improvements to the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Candidates with prior experience in Medicaid systems will be given preference. The MMIS SQA Analyst to will be called upon to act as an active member in all phases of the project including gap analysis, design and development activities, documentation, testing, implementation, and stabilization. The MMIS SQA Analyst is expected to work independently and collaboratively with technical teams and business stakeholders; therefore, exceptional communication, coordination, and documentation skills are essential for success in this role. Design and develop test cases and execution by both manual and automated methods. Assist and mentor team members and provide backup support for the test manager. Conduct requirements analysis, develop day-over-day test metric reporting, review test cases, and scenarios to ensure software compliance. Work closely with the test manager to oversee the day-to-day test execution, defect tracking/reporting results, and facilitate status report in daily status calls.

The primary work location for this role will be at 100 Hancock Street Quincy, Massachusetts 02171. The work schedule for this position is Monday thru Friday, 9:00AM to 5:00PM. This position would be expected to follow a hybrid model of reporting to work that combines in-office workdays and work from home days as needed. Schedules are subject to change based on the operational needs of the business.

EXPERIENCE EXPECTATIONS:

  • Process HIP NSI X12 standards and EDI 835, 270, 271, 276,277,837 and 999 and good knowledge of Medicaid and Pharmacy claims
  • Must have experience with Copay and cost sharing
  • Hands on experience with any public cloud environment like AWS, MS Azure.
  • Experience with DevOps technologies such as Jenkins, GitLab and other tools.
  • Experience working on testing Interfaces that communicate with cloud services.
  • Must have technical skills in Oracle SQL Developer, Java, Groovy, UNIX scripting, Client MS Office suite.
  • Excellent Selenium skills with core JAVA experience desired.
  • Must have Prior Health care experience, web services/micro services and interface testing experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in project teams, providing relevant quality assurance services to a broad audience.
  • Highly analytical and able to independently analyze test results and be confident in making decisions and recommendations.
DETAILED LIST OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Participate in the defect triage meetings, stand up call with business as required and providing information about defects and route cause analysis.
  • Broad knowledge of testing approaches and techniques for certifying software acceptance.
  • Participate in weekly defect remediation call to actively work on long pending and warranty defects.
  • Participate in Joint Application Design (JAD) and scope sessions involving cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Create and deliver test plans and test cases - create effective and reusable test scripts based on functional requirements and use cases.
  • Performing requirements verification testing, functional testing, security testing, regression testing, positive and negative testing, and post-production validation.
  • Perform data setup, testing, and reporting for load testing and automation testing.
  • Perform critical analysis of test results and make confident decisions and recommendations; and adhere to escalation processes to ensure accountability and issue resolution.
  • Work with SQA Manager and across project teams to ensure testing completion in line with project deadlines. Work closely with the testing team and resolve testing related issues/concerns.
  • Perform Gap analysis and advise testers to create new possible test scenarios and add them to the test bed. For every patch release, look at the coverage and identify regression suite and assign to testers.
  • Develop test automation scripts and provide technical support.
  • Develop and distribute Test Summary Reports after each cycle.
