Dance South Performing Arts, founded in 1997 and located in White House, Tennessee, offers exceptional dance education for students aged 2 to advanced levels. The studio provides diverse classes in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, contemporary, lyrical, modern, hip-hop, musical theater, and tumbling. As the region's only studio incorporating the ABT National Training Curriculum, Dance South ensures structured, high-quality training by certified instructors. Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Dance Instructor based in White House, TN. Dance South Performing Arts is seeking qualified dance educators in multiple styles, with primary needs in tap and tumbling instruction. Degree or certification in dance, or equivalent professional training and experience in dance education or performance. The Dance Instructor will be responsible for planning and teaching dance classes across various styles and age groups, emphasizing technical and artistic development. Daily tasks will include preparing class content, instructing students in choreography and technique, and creating a positive and inspiring learning environment. Instructors may also assist with choreography and preparations for performances or competitions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Dance, Dance Instruction and Dance Education to teach various levels and genres
• Experience in Teaching and a passion for helping students grow both technically and artistically
• Expertise in Dance and/or Music, with an understanding of performance and choreography
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster a supportive and positive environment
• Experience with youth or educational environments is a plus
• Degree or certificate in Dance, Performing Arts, or equivalent professional training and experience
