Job Summary

The Gaming Revenue Auditor is responsible for daily audits of records for assigned gaming revenue generating departments to determine compliance with gaming regulations, as well as company and departmental policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

  • Audit daily records of assigned gaming revenue generating departments in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with gaming regulations and company/department policies and procedures.
  • Prepare manual and computer accounting records and reports.
  • Work with operating departments to ensure accuracy of accounting records.
  • Perform daily audits of cage, HHR, electronic games and count room areas.
  • Investigate and report discrepancies determined through audit process.
  • Aid in preparation of reports for Tax Department and VP of Accounting to ensure compliance with Gaming Commission regulation and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and files pertaining to daily audits of areas of responsibility.
  • Anticipate ongoing changes, problems, and opportunities to maintain effective systems and procedures.
  • Investigate and report discrepancies to Accounting Controller.
  • Use Aristocrat Oasis 360 system and Sage Intacct systems to compare and analyze jackpot tickets, vouchers, discrepancies, variances against machines.
  • Ensure enforcement of all Title 31 audit regulations.
  • Participate in numerous special projects including Live Racing, Derby, special events and other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Meet deadlines and maintain high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Show ability to write reports and business correspondences with demonstrated knowledge of audit functions and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate leadership, a positive attitude, and BIG Service standards.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures, respond appropriately in emergencies, report unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain regular attendance at scheduled shifts and staff meetings.
  • Exhibit professionalism and a friendly demeanor throughout the workday.

  • Work independently with little supervision or as part of a team.
  • Maintain compliance with all legal or company regulations for the industry.

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma required.
  • 2 Years of recent and related auditing or accounting experience preferred.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.
  • Internal Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements as provided in the Transfer and Promotion policy.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky Gaming/Racing license.

  • Work in environment where smoking is permitted and noise level is high due to guest chatter, overhead music, and live entertainment.
  • Lift and carry up to 30 pounds and respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Distinguish letters or symbols and have eye-hand coordination.
