They will develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while fostering a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. This role will both provide structure and resource for training programs, conduct risk assessments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance. This position will have a direct reporting line to the Global Director of Quality.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Develop and maintain comprehensive EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.* Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.* Lead incident investigation processes, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.* Develop/help deliver EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors to promote awareness and compliance.* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into manufacturing processes, equipment design, and facility layout.* Manage waste management programs, including hazardous material handling, storage, and disposal, in accordance with regulatory requirements.* Monitor and report on key EHS performance indicators, providing regular updates to management and stakeholders.* Stay current on emerging EHS regulations, technologies, and best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.* Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors during inspections and inquiries.* Foster a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement by engaging employees at all levels and promoting proactive EHS initiatives.**Required Qualifications:*** Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.* Minimum of 8 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.**Preferred Characteristics:*** In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and local environmental regulations.* Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct risk assessments, root cause analyses, and trend analyses.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.* Proven leadership abilities, including the ability to coach, mentor, and engage cross-functional teams.* Experience implementing and managing EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001).* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS software applications for data management and reporting.* Demonstrated commitment to promoting a culture of safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement.* Ability to prioritize daily workload in a fast-paced environment.* Recognized Certification in Environmental, Safety or Health, Risk Management such as CIH, CSP, etc. (Desirable, but not required)* This position can be remote, with the ability to travel on short notice between all locations.
