Planning Integration Manager - US, Ohio - 12 Month Contract. This is a large-scale greenfield capital project investing more than $1bn, based in Ohio.
Responsibilities
Own the integrated project schedule across all construction and operational readiness phases, ensuring alignment with program milestones and business goals.
Proactively monitor workstream activities, identifying delays, resource gaps, or cross-functional misalignments before they impact progress.
Provide regular, independent updates to leadership on risks, bottlenecks, and execution gaps—offering clear solutions, not just reporting issues.
Drive resource-loaded scheduling and ensure the right teams are focused on the right priorities at the right time.
Assess whether the project is making the necessary interdepartmental connections to stay on track; escalate breakdowns and follow up on unresolved issues.
Review and challenge EPCM and contractor schedules for logic, realism, and alignment with owner goals.
Track actual vs. planned progress and drive action where deviations exist, ensuring accountability for commitments and critical activities.
Validate critical path assumptions based on real-time site conditions, not just schedule data.
Engage with field teams and engineers to anticipate downstream issues and support strategic, long-range planning.
Inform site leadership once key actions are complete and flag impacts to schedule or performance proactively.
Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Extensive experience in planning/scheduling for large-scale capital projects; pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
Ability to act independently and with authority—escalating concerns, proposing solutions, and keeping leadership informed.
Deep expertise in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
Advanced skills in resource loading, schedule integration, and strategic planning.
Strong understanding of construction execution, work package alignment, and trade sequencing.
Ability to foster accountability with EPCM/contractor partners through detailed planning insights.
Excellent communication, influencing, and cross-functional coordination skills.
