About The Position

Blue Giant is seeking a General Manager for our Louisville, Kentucky facility. This role involves overseeing operations at a state-of-the-art plant specializing in In-plant Lifts, collaborating with other units and the Mississauga, Canada location to drive strategic growth, quality, and efficiency across 4 major product lines. Reporting to senior leadership, the General Manager will lead a dynamic team, optimize manufacturing processes, and enhance profitability while upholding Blue Giant's commitment to innovation and safety. This position offers a pivotal opportunity to shape our expanding Integration business.

Responsibilities

  1. Oversee manufacturing to ensure efficiency, service, and profitability.
  2. Manage operations to meet production targets and organizational goals.
  3. Lead continuous improvement and innovation in ergonomic product development.
  4. Ensure compliance with manufacturing regulations and safety standards.
  5. Monitor and optimize manufacturing performance using data-driven insights.
  6. Contribute to strategic planning for growth and market presence.
  7. Recruit, develop, and empower a skilled manufacturing team.
  8. Report on business performance and strategic progress.
  9. Oversee engineering activities and coordinate with offsite engineering resources.
  10. Align Finance, HR, and Manufacturing functions.
  11. Maintain compliance and foster a safety culture.
  12. Build relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and customers.
  13. Coordinate with Engineering, Sales, and Customer Support for product quality and delivery.
  14. Manage inventory, raw materials, and equipment.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven manufacturing management experience, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong leadership and results-oriented skills.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and compliance.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strategic decision-making capabilities.
  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools.
