Member Relations Specialist

Description:

The Member Relations Specialist will play a key role in enhancing the membership experience at the National Corvette Museum by providing exceptional customer service, managing member communications, and assisting with membership retention and growth. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the Museums mission, have strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrate a proactive approach to fostering relationships with current and prospective members.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for Museum members, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with the development and execution of membership programs, campaigns, and renewal processes to drive member retention and recruitment.
  • Maintain accurate membership records in the database, ensuring all member information is current and accurate.
  • Process acknowledgment letters and membership fulfillment packages with attention to detail and timeliness.
  • Assist the Director of Membership with exclusive member events, tours, and activities, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and engagement.
  • Assist the Membership Services Associate with the processing & placement of tributes.
  • Support membership outreach initiatives, including phone calls, emails, and personal engagement, to encourage new memberships and foster long-term relationships.
  • Work with the Development team in sharing member information to cultivate new donors.
  • Support the Director of Membership with data tracking, reporting, and analysis to measure the success of membership campaigns and initiatives.
  • Assist with coordinating the Museum Ambassador program including updating the database, planning of Ambassador meetings and Ambassador Academy, communication with Ambassadors, and other tasks as delegated.
  • Partner with the Human Resources team to support the volunteer program and recruit volunteers through the Ambassadors and Museum membership.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Museum's mission by always representing the organization in a positive and professional manner.
  • Assist other departments throughout the Museum on training and sales of memberships and tributes.
  • Responsibilities are not all inclusive, additional duties may be assigned.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in a related filed preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in customer service, membership relations, or a similar role.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to provide prompt and courteous customer service via email, phone, and face-to-face interaction.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with an ability to build rapport with diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with membership database systems a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to accurately and fairly plan and schedule ahead.
  • Capability to learn new material and information about the Museum and willingness to invest time to stay informed on Museum happenings.
  • High level of commitment to team and company values.
  • Valid state driver's license required.


ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Must have sufficient mobility to move around the Museum and the community.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 10lbs.
  • Ability to operate office equipment.
