GENERAL LABOUR - ASSEMBLY
Summary: To prepare details for Assembly process
Full Time (Periodic Rotating Shifts)
Responsibilities:
- Clean Black Oxide from details
- Remove sharp edges on details to be assembled
- Secure, measure and work raw metal stock to prepare for assembly
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools to shape work piece to prescribed finish
- Keep details organized and work to the job priority - Other general labour duties as required
- Experience operating machine shop equipment (Bridgeport mill, lathe, grinder, tumbler)
- 1-3 years of working experience in the manufacturing assembly setting
- Knowledge of check fixtures, jigs and gauges is a strong asset - Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to utilize measurement instruments (caliper, micrometer, gauge block) - Good attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively with minimal supervision
