Qualifications
We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Production Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. As a key member of our production floor, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various production machines. The ideal candidate should be proficient in operating a wide range of machinery, be available for flexible schedules, possess a keen eye for detail, demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, and exhibit a commitment to ensuring quality and efficiency in the production process.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
In order to be successful in this role you'll need to be able to handle the following:
Machine Setup and Operation:
- Set up and configure production machinery based on job requirements and specifications.
- Operate a variety of production machines, including but not limited to mixers, extruders, multi-axis CNC, standard production support and material handling equipment.
Quality Control:- Monitor production output to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and adjust machinery as needed to maintain product quality.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance:- Identify and resolve issues with production machinery promptly.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs to ensure machines operate efficiently.
Process Optimization:- Collaborate with the production and engineering team to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- As approved, implement changes to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
Safety Compliance:- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
- Conduct regular safety checks on machines and equipment.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
Documentation:- Maintain accurate records of production activities, machine settings, and maintenance tasks.
- Provide accurate and detailed reports on machine performance and production metrics.
Team Collaboration:- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate production activities.
- Assist in training new operators and sharing knowledge with the team.
Flexible Scheduling:- As necessary, be available for flexible shift scheduling as required by our unique production processes.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a production machine operator in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Familiarity with a variety of production machinery and tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The role may involve standing for long periods, lifting heavy materials, and operating machinery in a manufacturing environment. Candidates should be physically capable of performing these tasks.
